A: Right now, the autopublish feature works best with the default “Posts” section and standard categories.
You’re welcome to try it with your custom post type and categories in some cases it might work, depending on how your setup is configured.

Since custom setups vary, we can’t guarantee it’ll work perfectly.
But if it doesn’t go through, our system logs the error in the backend which helps us figure out what’s going wrong.

I've also noted your request and will explore support for custom post type categories in the future.
