Abun Reviews

Abun, which I recently acquired in the Tier 3 plan, shows a lot of potential, but is not ready for productive use at the moment. Over the last few days, I have carried out various tests and would like to share my experiences and impressions.

The idea behind the product is promising, but the implementation is lacking. The application is very slow and the quality of the texts generated in German leaves a lot to be desired. The texts are full of empty phrases and do not get to the point, which does not meet the quality standards we expect.

**Advantages:**
- Basically good idea with potential
- A simple workflow from KW search, creating the blog post to posting.

**Disadvantages:**
- Slow application and text generation
- Insufficient text quality
- Missing internal links and inappropriate outbound links
- Focus on the US market, not the target market

**Problems:**
- Lack of trust in the sustainability of the company
- Limited keyword research options
- Lack of auto-blocking feature in Tier 2 and 3 plan.

**Open issues:**
- Customization of plans, referencing of top tier plans to Basic is insufficient. (Better to offer fewer blog posts)
- Improvement of quality
- Faster generation
- Brand voice, tonality would be great

**Conclusion:**
The product currently offers no real added value for me. The slow performance, insufficient text quality and missing features make it unusable for my purposes. I will return the purchase and hope that future customizations and improvements will make the product more attractive. Until then, it is not an option for me.

I hope that the Abun team will soon be able to address the outstanding issues and wish them all the best.

I have created a few articles and the software does what it is supposed to do. At one stage I ran into a hiccup when I used a very detailed prompt, but support was on it right away and when the issue was resolved, I found that no credits were subtracted for the article.

All-in-all, a good buy.

Most frustrating tool I've bought. I wanted it to work of course and bought Tier 2.
- Adding a website. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. I have websites that they couldn't crawl for days even after adding/removing/restarting the process multiple times.
- It never generated any internal links for any of the articles I tried. This is extremely important for me.
- Competitiors listed are usually wrong. It will base on your domain name.
- Longtail keyword apparently works, you just have to hit enter instead of the Next button (because it is currently unlickable). A very generic keyword "contracting" gave me 55 "longtail" keywords, and 31 of those only have 2 words. Not sure how they define longtail. After trying again, it never worked anymore and always gets an error. Server issue, maybe?

- Gave me a blood splatter image, regenerated images are bad just as bad. Yikes.
- External link: "advanced imaging technologies" is linked to TSA https://www.tsa.gov/travel/frequently-asked-questions/what-advanced-imaging-technology
-External links seem to just be what the keyword is at face value and don't account for the context.

- I can only generate images on Basic and "Pro" without texts. There are unclickable "Premium" styles. No other options to edit images aside from the style.
- I tried to generate competitor keywords, it says max limit reached. then tried again, says "Request failed with status code 401". Their server is still bad since they launched here.
- I did not try connecting and uploading articles as I just don't trust the content anymore at this point.
- Not a fan of them advertising their other products on the main sidebar.
- I was gonna say that I like their keyword data when I used them, but when I was trying again while writing this review, I can't even upload any keywords anymore.

Their support is responsive at least and open to feedback but I'm tired checking bugs for them. This tool is not ready at all. Plus, being mapped to Basic and already seeing that I'm not allowed to choose other image styles makes me think we will not get any good future updates. Refunding it, but I hope they get it together.

I have been using abun to generate content for my blog and it has been a pleasure to use — works as advertised even in Latvian language. Of course, the generated content needs some editorial touch before publishing, but so far the experience has been much more pleasant rather than using AI chatbots directly. The content length is perfect for my needs. I do not use auto-publishing feature and rather copy the HTML to my Ghost blog editor, and I also don't use the image generation feature, as I find it rather lackluster, but, overall, abun is a great product that I highly recommend!

Did I need another AI writing tool? Absolutely not. Am I a sucker for deals, yes. I promised myself I would never buy another AS deal where all the plans are mapped to the basic plan as it always comes back to bite me with very limited features.

The plans and features section says basic and pro images included, well...guess what? There's premium images you don't get access too. As a matter of fact, only two of the image options are labeled as basic. It's an illusion that you'll get the pro image options when in reality the best models are an up-sale. What I was most upset about was, I signed up for a free trial to try out the app and all the image options were available. Well, you guessed it, those go away once you pay. There's nowhere in the AS deal or on their website in the plan section that tells you this. It says "auto featured images" under ALL plans.

On top of that, you're also limited in the keywords features. The long tail keywords tool is unavailable in the AS deal (along with auto-blogging). Anyway, just prepared to be extremely limited in features and I can only image that will get worse over time as they add new features. Not interested in investing in something to where it's going to be a guessing game if new features are going to be available down the road. When they stick you on the basic plan, that becomes easy.
