Q: GDPR and Storage
Hello,
I've been looking at the Ägile Ässets deal and I'm quite interested. Only have 2 questions I can't find cleared elsewhere as of now:
1) Is Ägile Ässets fully GDPR compliant?
2) How about storage limits? As a lifetime deal I start with at least years together in mind, and as such space used could build up over the time, especially if daily IG stories, reels or shorts/tiktoks are employed. Does the uploaded content get removed from your servers after a while, and when? What is the limit size per file and the limit storage total for the deal? I'd like to use the service fairly and without getting any surprise bans.
Thanks, have a great day.

Nov 18, 2024A: Hi there, thanks for your interest!
#GDPR: As of now, and to our knowledge, this is not relevant as no personal data is processed in that sense. As it says on the European Commission's page "The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to the processing of PERSONAL DATA wholly or partly by automated means as well as to non-automated processing, if it is part of a structured filing system.". [source: https://bit.ly/40TxTZj] . There is no personal user data tracked in that sense. Social media posts that are published, are of course that: Public.
Maybe you are wondering what happens if a user wants to leave the tool. If you want to delete an account and all assets, that is your choice, of course, and will be complied with. Normally part of the charm of using Ägile Ässets (as the name says) is the ability to store and reuse the posts - if so. wants to export it all at some point, and it is a relatively normal amount of data, we'll do that as a courtesy, in more complex cases they would receive an offer for a custom export with structured files.
Another aspect might be the shop system: In our shop system (we use WooCommerce so far), all GPDR compliant practices are applied, see the Cookies notice there and also the 'right to be forgotten' (though of course B2B rules apply, anything accounting relevant will have to be kept according to the then current (GermanI) legal guidelines.
Which leads me to:
Referring to storage: For context, the tool was launched last year, and we love that you're thinking ahead in such a long-term way. I can with all honesty say that we will always be fair and generous and also keep very close contact with our dear users.
For now: We have roughly calculated 2.5GB per user, which is pretty generous and realistic for some time. This might need to be looked into at some point; so far, we simply haven't had the case of this being overused.
As part of the idea is "your assets, always" (I hated it to be locked in at other tools) we made sure our users have their assets and freedom). We are also looking into opening the doors to 'bring your own' for a small fee (which then would mean that the assets in that sense would be stored in your own place anyway). As that is a bit more complex, it will probably happen at some point, but rather around the turn of the year (no promises yet, will keep everyone posted).
I hope this helps for now and would be happy to welcome you in our agile global universe of agile social media marketing - and if you have any more questions, feel free to drop me an email to team@agile-assets.ai (AppSumo here often doesn't notify about follow up questions) - happy to help!
November greets from Munich, Germany!
