Q: setup question

Hello I am trying to set up a heartbeat to be sent from a host to your service (does allarmia support this?) my idea would be if the heartbeat stops, it would kick off an ssh session run a command then resume listening for heartbeat. id also like to do the same thing, if the port of a host doesn't respond at a tcp port it would run ssh command etc.

A: Hello,

Yes, Allarmia supports this kind of functionality. We can create APIs that listen for heartbeat signals from your hosts. Every request received by these APIs can trigger a playbook, or alternatively, you can set up a playbook to check the heartbeat at regular intervals. Based on the results, actions such as initiating an SSH connection or other necessary steps can be executed.

Additionally, if a specific TCP port on a host does not respond, the system can run an SSH command or trigger other actions accordingly.

For more details on how to set this up, please refer to the usage videos on our website.
