You’re right—those features are missing, and they would improve the software. They’re on the roadmap, but they probably won’t be ready this year. Right now, I’m focusing on the biggest issues:

Moving rendering to the cloud.
Reworking the symbol editor.
Once those are done, I’ll start improving routes. The first step is adding Google Maps routing. At the moment, the software uses the Mapbox API, which works but doesn’t always find everything users need. After that, I’ll add a tool for manually creating routes that aren’t tied to land. Think of it as a Bézier editor where you can place points, and they’re connected by smooth curves.

I get why this is important, but it’s not as simple as it might seem—especially since I’m the only developer working on this project. Your feature request is high on my list, but I need to address other priorities first to improve the overall experience. I estimate early next year by now -- which is soon :)
