I purchased the lifetime deal for this tool very excited that I could create videos using an API and replace creatomate. They have a lot of great templates that are customizable (except for the fonts, for some reason).
I planned to use it as a part of an automation sequence for creating social media graphics. Unfortunately it is pretty much useless for that purpose.
When you send the API request it doesn't return a link to the video you have created or even an ID for the generated video so that you can retrieve it later on in the automation sequence. All you get is a message that the "Render request has been sent, and now its in progress".
Where is the video? At this point, I don't care because my automation sequence is broken and I am going to have to access it through some manual process. Not interested.
The option for a webhook is there which can trigger a new workflow when your video gets created. But this doesn't really work because it exists in isolation without any of the rest of the data from the automation sequence, so which video is this? There's no way of knowing.
A more elegant way for this to be designed would be to provide a job or video ID that after some delay when the video is finished, we could retrieve later on in the automation workflow. At this point, I will be returning Bannerbite as it doesn't deliver on the automation promise.
