A Solid Alternative to Miro — NOT for the Privacy-Conscious
I've had my eye on Boardmix for quite a while, and finally decided to jump in. Overall, the value is excellent for the feature set — honestly, it feels like it could even outperform Miro in some areas, though that’s a bold claim.
The interface is slick, collaboration tools are robust, and for the price point, it's hard to beat. For those working with clients across Asia like I do, it’s a strong contender and fits my needs really well.
WHO THIS IS NOT FOR: If privacy is a top concern for you or your clients, be cautious. Boardmix has been clear in stating they will protect user privacy unless required by law — and in this case, that’s Chinese law. So if your clients are in the EU or are very privacy-conscious, I wouldn't recommend this. For that reason, I don’t use Boardmix with my EU clients.
But if, like me, you can straddle two worlds — working with both privacy-averse and more flexible clients — this is definitely worth adding to your toolbox.
That said, the risks related to server location are significant enough for me to dock a star. Still, for the right use case, this is a very strong buy.
