Q: Does Chaos Control support (deeply) nested Tasks
Good evening,
If I have simple tasks (‘buy bread, milk and bitters’), then I can't talk about chaos yet.
I have chaos when I have nested tasks that I either have to complete on my own or where I have to check whether they have been completed. For example:
New Employee
+- Human resources
| +- regulate contracts
| +- Set up wage payments
| +- …
+ IT
| +- Buy HW
| | +- Chose notebook
| +- Setup accounts
+ Team
| +- organise introduction day
| +- …
Therefore the question:
Is it possible to define deep nested task lists so that I can see what has been completed for a small project?
(The ‘context’ in Chaos Control is completely different, because with the concept of context I am pretty sure I lose the connections between tasks and no longer see what is linked together - which you always have in a hierarchical task list :)

May 13, 2025A: Great question! You can either create nested categories or use checklists inside the tasks. No deep nested task structure though. In most of the cases categories inside categories are the answer.
