Forced Reviews, and Broken Crawl Limits – Just Save Your Money

Wow, with all the glowing reviews, I just had to try ClickRank.

Now I understand where those reviews are coming from, there’s a giant “Claim Your Gift” button - glowing and constantly animating so you feel totally focused on your work, permanently glued to the bottom left. Spoiler: you can’t get rid of it. Click it, and surprise! You’re told to leave a review on AppSumo in exchange for a “gift”(Trustpilot and G2 also). You have to upload a screenshot of your review, amazing...

On to the actual platform: I uploaded my site and watched in awe as it crawled every subdomain I’ve ever owned—without even asking if I wanted that. (Apparently, the option to avoid this is hidden somewhere in the settings, but only after you’ve already crawled your site. Helpful.) After burning through 50 of my precious non-renewable crawls—because, why give users flexibility? I decided to remove my site and try again without subdomains. That’s when I got treated to a lovely error message: “Error! You have reached the limit of your subscription!” Despite allegedly having 450 crawls left, and litteraly just starting!

So here I am, staring at an empty dashboard, unable to do anything. R E F U N D .

UPDATE:
Thanks for your response Ahmed, but frankly, it doesn't really address the core issues I experienced, and it feels like you're sidestepping the problems.

My initial assessment stands.

Hey Arthur, thanks for taking the time to share what happened.

First, on the review pop-up: the “Claim Your Gift” banner is just a nudge for anyone who wants to leave feedback. It’s totally optional and we never ask for (or filter for) positive reviews as we simply let users share whatever experience they’ve had with ClickRank.

About the crawl limits: by default ClickRank crawls only the main domain you enter. Sub-domains are excluded unless you explicitly enable them under Settings → Crawler settings Scope after the first crawl.

If you remove a site and re-add it with sub-domains turned on, those extra pages come out of the same 500-page quota. Once that cap is reached, the system will ask you to upgrade or stack another AppSumo code before it can crawl further.

We don’t want you stuck on an empty dashboard, so please reach us anytime via the live-chat widget in your account or email support@clickrank.ai.

The team can reset the crawl, adjust your scope, or walk you through an upgrade if that’s what you need.

Let’s get this fixed for you, just ping us on chat and we’ll sort it out right away.

Thanks,
Ahmed
