Our open rates differ from user to user, and open rates are no longer a valid metric for email marketing due to email clients pre-loading images, it disrupts the tracking pixel, so it is hard to rely on opens.

As for the second part, we handle all emails with our servers, the only thing you need to connect is a domain name and verify it with your DNS manager so you can start sending emails from *@domain.com (* can be anything).

At the moment, there is no option to connect your own email account or SMTP server to prevent users from sending cold emails which is against our terms of service.
