Q: Dynamic QR codes???

I just added a CNAME to my account got this message when changing the link address:
"Changes to the link alias of an already published QR code will cause the previous version of the QR code to be overwritten and it will no longer be scannable. It will be necessary to print the QR code again."
My understanding was that you could change the address to dynamic QR codes without having to reprint or redistribute new codes to implement changes.

A: I will explain.

With dynamic QR codes, you can change the destination URLs or content anytime, even after the QR code has been published. That’s the beauty of dynamic QR codes!

However, the custom alias works differently. A custom alias must be unique across all QR codes. Once you set and print a QR code with a custom alias, it should not be changed. If you do change it, the alias will no longer match, and your QR code may show an error.

This is a common aspect of dynamic QR codes. Thank you!
