Q: Hi there, I love the product so far but wanted to ask a business continuity question.

I'm wondering what happens with the management of the dynamic QR codes (god forbid) if you pivot away from providing the QR management as a core service or ELKQR became unsustainable to run financially?

If we have printed material with the QR codes but they are being dynamically managed though ELK QR, would that mean we can no longer use them and the printed material would be invalid? Or could we take control of them somehow?

A: Hi, thanks for being a part of the ElkQR community. Yes, I understand your concern. If the company were to close or if something were to happen, all dynamic QR codes would stop working.

However, by God's grace, it won't happen. We are working hard to make this a great tool. Additionally, in case this scenario does occur, we will make it open-source so you can host it yourself with all the existing dynamic QR codes using custom domains only.

I hope this helps.

Best Regards,

ElkQR Team

This is great Subin. You surely understand it from a business owner's point of view because you're a business owner yourself. Imagine how catastrophic it would be be for an agency to create QR codes for clients using your platform and all of a sudden, you disappear without a trace. We'd at least want the option to take over your platform in some way so our reputation and credibility with clients are not completely destroyed. Thanks for being sensitive and empathetic to our concerns. We want to support your business and help it grow, but at the end of the day, we need your support as well :-)
