Q: Sending with Sendgrid or AWS, double contact: same email but differnt name
Hi, you write, that you send mails with Sendgrid and AWS. However, these 2 have significant differences regarding delivery rate. Can I choose, or do you, or does it depend on the plan/tier, what service is used?
And a second question: We have sometimes different people, who share the same email address. If I try to create a second contact, with a different name but same email address the first one will be updated. So I still have only one contact. Can I avoid this?

1️⃣ Sending via SendGrid or AWS: We currently use Amazon SES (AWS) for email delivery, and it is automatically managed by Encharge for all users. Unfortunately, you cannot choose between AWS and SendGrid, as we no longer use SendGrid. Our focus is on providing the best deliverability via AWS, which is known for its high performance and scalability.
2️⃣ Contacts with the Same Email Address: Encharge identifies contacts primarily by their email address, meaning that if you attempt to create two contacts with the same email (even with different names), the first contact will be updated rather than creating a second one. This is to maintain clean and accurate contact data, prevent duplication, and ensure reliable email tracking.
If you absolutely need to manage multiple individuals sharing the same email, one approach could be to use custom fields to store multiple names for the same email address. But for more complex use cases, you may need a workaround using sub-accounts or tags.
