if we trigger abanonded carts to update a google sheet record and then use pabbly/zappier/etc to create a record and put it into an abandoned cart segment into encharge flow, that seems like a workaround because you won't support it natively for growth, that works right? a few extra steps, but better than nothing for us that do heavy ecom that simply require abandoned cart flows

Appreciate the thoughtful workaround — you're definitely thinking along the right lines.
To be transparent: we can’t officially guarantee that setup will work perfectly, since abandoned cart flows aren’t something we support natively on the Growth plan (which the AppSumo LTD is based on), and Transactional API + event-based segmentation are Premium-only features.
That said, using a tool like Pabbly, Zapier, or Make to watch for updates in a Google Sheet and then trigger a tag or add someone to a segment in Encharge might work as a workaround. It really depends on how your data is structured and how reliably your automation tools can handle the logic.
If custom event tracking and transactional workflows are central to your business, the Premium plan might be a better fit down the road. But we also totally respect trying to make the most of your LTD — we’d do the same 😅
