Lifetime is requiring Credit Card for Yearly. Not what I bought!
Its not giving me access to Lifetime and requiring Credit Card for Yearly plan. No way around and no response to chat bots. Hopefully email and review gets follow-up started.

May 28, 2025Hey Michael,
Every AppSumo account is set up as “yearly” on the backend, but with no expiration and no charges after the first year, so it’s a true lifetime plan. I've upgraded your plan to Ethos Enterprise.
Thanks,
Brian

Serious disappointment despite good idea
Honest review, even at the risk of not getting it released:
Which red flags did I experience?
- Automated Welcome eMail took more than 12 hours to arrive (picture proof kept).
- Support request was closed after 24 hours without receiving any answer (picture proof kept).
- Clearly marketed "lifetime" deal on AppSumo turns out to be only a "yearly" plan after applying the code in the system (picture proof kept).
- Page speed and loading times are extremely slow as confirmed by other users. This is not a temporary server issues as it seems persistent since days. All website owners are aware that sometimes teething technical problems can exist. But being responsive and keeping the customers informed would be a minimum courtesy.
- Adding new items leads to error message "Run script "void (0);".
The idea behind the tool, the clean UI, the functions provided all look good. But what is that worth if Ethos is not working correctly?
I see the number of positive reviews and wonder if the application deteriorated in such short time, or what could be the cause for the current negligence.
Really a shame as Ethos could have been a nice addition to manage and share brand assets.
But the "ethos" of Ethos (Greek for 'character') doesn't feel right. Completely neglecting customers even during the campaign period on AppSumo doesn't shed a good light on the future sustainability.

Edited Apr 13, 2025Hey Ichbins,
I really appreciate you taking the time to write all this out. It's 100% not the experience we want anyone to have, and I’m sorry for the frustration.
Our onboarding flows are set up with MailChimp to go out immediately after signup, triggered by an API tag we send on account creation. It usually happens within a few seconds, so if it didn’t show up for 12+ hours, something went...

Simple & Usefull
Last updates 21/04
- No improvement since my last meeting with the owner
- The plaltform is more and more slow
- I still see this "yearly" paid plan on my account
- I've found an other tool ...
Ethos seems new but it has the basic features that you will need to show your brand.
There templates
Here the list of content I could upload :
- Brand copy guideline (you can add as many section as you need) , also you can use html directly to manage how the text is displayed (this tips has been shared by Briand the owner during our onboarding call)
-Brand asset (you can upload jpg, svg, and videos with links !)
-Brand colors (palette , mono etc)
- Brand fonts (you have to upload a picture of your fonts and you can also upload the fonts directly so that your customers / users can download them)
Everything in one place.
The only negative point is that the platform is slow sometime.
It will be interesting ot have recommandation & information messages to explain to users thz size limit or the size recommanded for each assets !
Good work team !

Edited Apr 22, 2025Hey Yassine,
Appreciate the review! Sorry to hear it’s been running slow on your end. We’ve added caching, lazy loading, and bumped server capacity, so speed issues should be resolved. If the loader hangs, it’s usually due to a corrupt file or unsupported special character in an upload.
If that happens again, shoot us a note at team@yourethos.io so we can dig in real-time.
Also, since we last...

Great Concept, Epic Fail: Why This Tool Missed the Mark
At first glance, it seemed promising - a great concept with potential. But once I dove in, the spark faded fast. The AI features? Let’s just say they lack, well, usability. Each text field comes with an AI chatbot button, but these bots clearly missed the memo on context. Instead of being helpful, they were like shooting darts blindfolded - completely off the mark and utterly pointless.
The layouts? Meh. The code? Buggy, even on the developer’s own websites. It felt like using a product still in beta, but someone forgot to tell them it wasn’t ready. Honestly, I could whip up a WordPress template for my branding management system that’s 10x better, infinitely more flexible, and comes without the looming fear of a third-party platform going belly-up and leaving my agency stranded.
And the cherry on top? I booked a meeting with the developer... who never showed up. In summary: great idea, terrible execution. Save yourself the headache.
