Our interactive elements on the page (the toolbar buttons) are labeled with titles which are suitable for screen readers. The book navigation can also be controlled by the left and right arrows. I'm afraid we don't have direct control over the content of the PDFs that have been uploaded so the usability will be down to the creators. If the text is kept as live text we recognise that so it can also be read. It is worth noting that the reading experience may be disjointed depending on how the PDF was created.
