Q: Why the sales commission per transaction?
Will you be helping me market or sell? If not, why then is the sales commission when we have already pay for the platform. Just help me understand

May 27, 2024A: Hey, thank you for your question.
The sales commission fee is one of the reasons why we are able to sell a lifetime deal of Forento for as little as $39. When we launched here on AppSumo, we had the option to either limit usage (products, members, pages, or other features) or add a transactional fee.
We decided we would much rather introduce a transactional fee than limit the creators on Forento. Not only does it allow us to sell a full lifetime deal without limitations, but also aligns our incentives with the creators on our platform.
We feel it's important to sell a lifetime deal that is genuinely sustainable. I've personally seen way too many lifetime deal providers come and go, many times because they're overpromising and selling too "good to be true" deals.
With that being said, we recently introduced an addon, specific to lifetime deal customers. The addon starts at $19/month and removes the sales commission in full. It also includes functionality allowing you to accept external payments, and either manually or automatically (with Zapier) assign and revoke product access from members.
Feel free to reach out through the live chat on our website if you have any other questions, I'm happy to help.

About this thing, is the same if I buy Startup 1 (2 codes) (10%) or Startup 2 (4 codes) (5%) ?
I mean, when you say "The addon starts at $19/month and removes the sales commission in full."... the same addon will work on both tiers?
Hey! Yes, the addon is available to anyone who has a lifetime deal redeemed for their account. The price ranges between $19/mo and $29/mo depending on what lifetime deal tier you're on.
