That´s important for all european byers, because of the very strong "DSGVO". Which is one of the highest rated GDPRs on the world.

Gumlet is GDPR compliant. But it is not DSGVO.
We store your videos in encrypted storage in AWS S3 and stream it using AWS Cloudfront.
By disabling "Video analytics" you can an ensure that Gumlet does not collect any personally identifiable information of your users.
However, we do not offer any data localisation.

DSGVO is the german translation of the abbreviation of the european General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Both terms mean the same. The personal data of european citizens has to be stored on servers located inside the countries of the European Union. Since cloud and CDN solutions of the big providers like AWS are set to deliver the data from the closest node...

But as US based company Amazon is bound to the Patriot Act and must eventually provide requested data to US intelligence which is not allowed under the laws of GDPR. But Amazon has signed special agreements to become compliant nevertheless. It would still be better to use EU based companies with their EU based servers to be fully compliant
