Q: Example fees for hosting a summit for clients

Not sure where to ask this, so why not here? :) I'm curious what sorts of fees people are charging to host something using this app for clients? Is there any particular approach that works best? I guess this software can host anything from a one-time live webinar to recurring pre-recorded webinars to a live or pre-recorded series of speakers over one or more days ... it's quite flexible. I'm trying to think of ways it can be used to help clients in ways that might not occur to them. Like, maybe to launch some podcasts or a new video channel or have a virtual workshop. But as the instigator and ... what? ... event planner / host (?) what's your cut like?

A: Hey, I'll leave this to others to potentially chime in so they can share their experiences and what they tend to charge.

But in case you're interested, we have a free report based on data and insights from over 8,000 virtual events run on our platform, where we show average ticket numbers and other relevant information. So if you want to download that for free, head over to https://heysummit.com/virtual-events-unpacked

Hope that helps :)

Not much. On average, each event had 69 speakers with 42 talks (so some didn't talk?); yet while 50% were one-off workshops aka "webinars", events had an average attendance of 1500 that generated $16,500 (in total, I guess?) for their hosts.

That's somewhat expected that there would be a 50-50 split between workshops and multi-day events. Events take quite a bit longer to plan, promote, and execute compared to workshops. A typical customer might put on two or three workshops in between organizing an event. However, from a pure numbers standpoint, there is roughly the same amount of multi-day events being held as workshops

The aggregate numbers suggest the most popular use of HeySummit is for hosting a plain old webinar, since half of your users report using it for that purpose. But we don't know if they're for paid or free classes, or just for selling something else. I'd love to see a dozen different business models that your customers use it for regularly.
