Q: Can we ask visitors to optin to get password?
Can we upload a file to the inprivy server (but require a password to access), we can then share the URL, but visitors need to optin their email address, so that inprivy automatically send password to the visitors email address. Only then they can access the file after putting the password.
If this tool can do above, I can see this has a potential to be a good platform to build email subscribers (leads), because visitors need to optin their email address to get the password in order to access the file.

Jan 12, 2025A: This is currently not possible, but I like the idea. I added it to the backlog. But speaking of lead generation, you might also want to check out our other tool, Deftform. It's planned to implement a similar function (get access to files after filling out a form).
ibestrikerThanks. I check Deftform, it is already closed on appsumo. And, Deftform has no feature to upload files (photo or video or doc) into the server, compared to inprivy. The idea is, I want to give people access to download a file, but need to optin their email to receive the password thru the email. :)
Yes, that's what I was trying to say. :) The option to add media files to download is planned for Deftform. But like I said, I like the idea and it's been added to the InPrivy backlog.
That would be great if the feature is added. Also about my other requests about multiple Sharing URL because we all have tens of programs/events to share URL for other people to upload their files. Currently we can share only 1 Sharing URL.
