Q: Are you actively considering the option for us to remove your branding?
My biggest problem and the deal breaker for me is that you all are 'forcing' your branding on clients. I understand the 'marketing' perspective about branding, but then there is the 'ethical' perspective. You never want to 'force' branding on a client..it never goes down right, and especially on appsumo, deals that do so, always end up getting just a handful of reviews and sometimes even bad reviews. This is sad because i like the simplicity and inuitiveness of this tool. Please consider giving us the option to remove your branding. I don't want to knock stars off my review just yet so I'll hold on to the tool for a while and see if things change regarding this. Of course, I'll continue to test the tool/company.

I want to reassure you that Kotae is designed to be highly customizable, so you have full control over how it appears on your website. You can easily use your own logo (Kotae logo doesn't show anywhere), set your own chatbot name (so it never says "Kotae"), choose your brand colors, update the chat bubble text, and personalize the welcome message to match your brand’s tone and style. We’ve made it a priority to ensure Kotae blends seamlessly with your site, both visually and in terms of voice, so it feels like a natural part of your brand.
We do include a very small, subtle “Powered by Kotae” in grey text, but we’ve intentionally made it low-key so it doesn’t stand out or interfere with your branding. Our intention is definitely not to force our brand on you. We understand the importance of keeping your brand front and center, and that’s why so much of Kotae is built to be customizable.
If you’d like to remove even that small “Powered by Kotae” text, we do offer that option as part of our enterprise plan (not currently available on AppSumo). If this is a dealbreaker for you, please let us know. We’re happy to chat about what options might work best for your needs!
