Q: GDPR Compliant / Social media and WhatsApp integrations / Human handoff / Mobile app

Hi,

1)For UK/European customers can you confirm you are fully GDPR compliant beyond just a DPA?

2)Do you have an ETA on Instagram and WhatApp integration and will they be included in any Tier of this deal?

3)Do you have human handoff - and if so how is the alert delivered? WIll this be included as part of this deal?

4)Do you plan on having a native mobile app for human handoff on the go - and if so would this be included as part of this deal?

Below you’ll find answers to each of your points.

1. GDPR and Japan’s APPI
As we are based in Japan, our privacy framework is built on Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI), which we continually align with GDPR requirements wherever they apply. This includes the mandates for breach notification and appointment of DPO. You can read our full policy here: https://kotae.ai/privacy.

2. Integrations Roadmap
Integrations drive our platform’s value, but given the rapid pace of AI, we don’t publish a fixed, long-term roadmap. Here’s what’s on deck around integration right now:
2.1 API Key Management (ETA to release next week) --> Connect flexibly to any database or backend system
2.2 Agentic POC --> Rather than “add one channel at a time,” we’re building proof-of-concept tools that let you craft your notification via Instagram, WhatsApp (and beyond) connections programmatically. This will be part of Enterprise plan.

3. Human Handoff & Alerts
We offer Human Collaboration Escalation so that when the bot can’t resolve a query visitors can leave message to connect with a human (with file-attachment support). All leads and escalations appear in your dashboard. As for the alert system:
3.1 Today: Alerts are sent via email. In case of Enterprise plan (see 2.2) you can plug in Slack, WhatsApp, Instagram, etc. via our integrations layer on Agentic POC. With that you’ll be able to route those notifications wherever you like.
3.2 Next: Alerts are sent to mobile app (see question 4.1 and 4.2)

4. Mobile App for On-the-Go
I agree instant alerts on your phone are critical. A mobile app is in our backlog.
4.1 With Agentic (see 2.2) integration layer on Enterprise plan, you can hook your escalation alerts into any channels that already has a mobile client and get push-style notifications via those existing apps
4.2 Without Enterprise plan, we will build an MVP of Kotae as Progressive Web App with notification system
