Like others, I already purchased Voicenotes so I was hesitant to buy Letterly. The passion from the team about thier UI and Linguist trained AI intrigued me though so I went ahead and got Tier 1 to give it a try. You can definitely tell they put a lot of thought into the UI and as a designer, I appreciate that. It's simple, beautiful and intuitive. The output from the available prompts is good too.

The reason I knocked a star off is because of the price. $59 for 1 device is expensive. Especially considering this is a new app with limited functionality. Voicenotes was $50 for unlimited devices and they have a mobile friendly web app + android and IOS apps at no additional charge. Your notes are synced across devices, you can create custom prompts AND you can chat with your notes so I'm having a hard time swallowing it's going to cost me $177 to use Letterly on 3 devices.

What's interesting is Letterly doesn't even seem to be aware of Voicenotes which is probably their #1 competitor so I'd recommend the team do a bit of research and hopefully reconsider their license structure. I would expect the web app to be free for all current users since an app like this essentially requires the use of both a phone and computer to fully utilize (eg: you record on your phone, edit on your computer). Right now I'm unsure whether or not I'm going to keep it. While the UI is definitely a bit nicer, Voicenotes seamlessly integrates across all of my devices and offers more functionality. If the team announced the web app (when available) wasn't going to require an additional code, I'd keep it for sure so hopefully they'll listen to Summolings and do that. It's a beautiful and very useful app so I'd love to see them succeed!
