Q: Link On TikTok
When I add this link to my Tiktok profile and its clicked, Tiktok first presents a warning that the user is leaving Tiktok to go to an external site which involves an additional click, whereas with the likes of linktree, this warning doesnt appear... is there a way round this or have i missed something out?

Mar 13, 2025A: I've investigated the issue, and it seems it is up to TikTok to decide whether to show the warning.
Sometimes it appears, sometimes it doesn't.
Even reputable sites, like Shopify, end up getting this warning occasionally.
I suggest experimenting with different link formats, e.g. with and without "https://", with and without "www", to see if this behaviour changes.
I'll continue to monitor the issue to try and find a solution.
