Q: 1000 keywords

I have a question about the 1,000 keyword limit included with the Tier 5 package. If I have a brand with hundreds or even thousands of locations, does that 1,000 keyword cap apply to the entire account across all locations, or is it 1,000 keywords per location?

Also, how does this work for businesses that operate in specific service areas but don’t have physical brick-and-mortar locations? How are local listings managed or added for each of those service area locations?

A: ✅ The 1,000 keyword limit applies to the entire account, not per location.
So if you have hundreds or thousands of locations, the keyword tracking will need to be distributed across those based on how you choose to allocate them.

For example:

100 locations × 10 keywords each = 1,000 total

Or 50 locations × 20 keywords each, etc.

You can group and manage keyword sets flexibly depending on priority or performance goals.

As for service-area businesses (without a physical storefront), it’s important to note:

📍 We require a specific location to be set (e.g., a city or address) for each listing in order to track local rankings.
The system does not support area outlines or radius-only targeting — so each tracked location needs a defined map point.

If you operate across multiple service areas without separate Google Business Profiles, the best approach is to define representative points within each area and track keywords from there.

The 1,000 keyword cap makes it hard to manage multi-location businesses. If I have 1,000 locations, I can only track one keyword per location — which isn’t useful.

Can you offer an option to track 25+ keywords per location or increase the overall limit? Even a paid add-on would help.

I was about to post a similar question. Is it possible, if buying Tier 5 (the largest tier) to purchase additional keywords?

Yeah, this is a big issue. Especially if your whole goal is to scale, hopefully, they can address this, and I'll go all in on Tier 5.
