Q: How many brands or lists?

Hi there,

I've got 3 questions:

1/ I had tested Mailbluster years ago, and it worked very well, but didn't go further because of non existant email automation. It seems that this service is now available, right?
2/ I'm interested in the lifetime deal, and can't understand why people are complaining about the offer... but I can't find any information about the number of brands or lists I can create with one account. I've got 4 websites and I've got more than one list by website. Would I need one subscription per brand, or can I use one account for my different brands?
3/ Do you have subscription forms and popups that can be used on Wordpress?

Thanks in advance for your time and answers

A: Hi, thank you for asking.

1. Yes, MailBluster now includes email automation! At the moment, it’s a basic automation that lets you automatically send emails (or a sequence of emails) to people who subscribe through your website. We’re also actively working on expanding automation triggers, which will be available in our later releases.
2. Each license is for a single organization / brand in MailBluster. If you buy 1 license, you will be able to use in 1 organization / brand. So if you have 4 different websites/brands, you’d need one license for each brand. One account can’t be used across multiple brands under a single license.
3. Yes, we do offer subscription forms and popup forms for WordPress! Here’s a guide to help you get started: https://mailbluster.com/blog/mailbluster-forms

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for your answer, but in this case Mailbuster is much more expensive than Sendy. I only pay the AWS fees and that's it. If I was to connect my 4 websites with more than 25000 subscribers, I would need to pay 60€ X 4 every year before the monthly cost of 0,60$/1000 emails. At the end of the days, it is not as cheap as it seems... I'll stay with Sendy then.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
With Mailbluster, you only pay for the emails you send and the small AWS fee. Yes, our Pro plan is $60/year per brand, but if you get it through AppSumo, it’s a one-time payment for lifetime access. After exceeding the included email limit, sending costs drop to $0.40/1,000 emails, which is cheaper than the usual $0.60. Plus, there is no yearly subscription fee.

With Sendy, there's $69 one-time fee, $34 for each updates, monthly hosting fee ($10–$40+) depending on the hosting provider you are using, and you’ll need to manage the server yourself—or hire someone to do it. On the other hand, Mailbluster is fully managed, so you don’t have to worry about hosting or updates. It can actually save you time and money in the long run!

Here is a quick Breakdown (per brand):
Mailbluster Pro: $60/year + $0.60/1,000 emails + AWS
Mailbluster (AppSumo): One-time license + AWS | After limit: $0.40/1,000 emails + AWS
Sendy: $69 one-time + $34/updates + hosting ($10–$40/month) + AWS

Hi Nabonita, No this is not a good calculation at all. I've seen that on your website, but this calculation is quite wrong. I don't pay anything to Sendy since 3 years of use, and the hosting is the same as my Wordpress (unlimited websites for 84€ per year). Even if I calculate a ratio for Sendy, it would be 1€ a month.

And with Sendy, you pay one single licence for as many websites you want. That is why I don't understand the need of paying a fee for each website and I don't even know if it would be possible with AppSumo. Even with Brevo, EmailOctopus or Mailjet, you don't need a separate account for each brand.

Right. If you're tech-savvy, already have hosting, and can manage the troublesome setup, Sendy can be a cheap option for you.
But for non-tech users, MailBluster is a great fit as it’s fully managed—no server setup, no updates, no maintenance, and no worries about downtime or deliverability issues.
Also, hosting is cheap for small use, but costs and server load increase as email volume grows.

Though Mailbluster charges per brand, if you can manage to keep everything under one brand, it’s actually very cost-effective, especially with the AppSumo Lifetime deal. You can still send emails from multiple domains, segment the subscribers based on tags (it can be useful to separate contacts/subscribers across different websites) under one brand.
