Very Nice Software, Needs Some UI Work + Added Features
This software is probably one of the best SEO ones on AppSumo with a nice-looking interface and some cool features. I give it a 4.5 out of 5 stars. I recommend using it in conjunction with Ubersuggest as both have lifetime pricing, and the free version of AHREFS (including the free Wordpress plugin).
One of the nicer features is that you can see all of your pages by URL and see all of the keywords that drive traffic to your site. You can also get an SEO audit on each page. I identified several site-wide issues on my blog, and I fixed them immediately. Also, I really enjoy the content that needs attention. I can identify pages that lost keywords/traffic and do something to fix them.
I would, however, suggest some small features on the UI to make it more user-friendly. Clicking around can be VERY annoying because the site makes use of slide-in pages with no back button. For example, if you click on a page and then click on an individual keyword, you have to exit out of slide-in if you want to go see the page again. (There should be a link to the page up at the top.)
There also should be "multiple" update boxes. For example, to not track keywords any longer, you have to individually go through each keyword. This is a real pain. A "select all" would be great.
I would like to see "show all" feature as well, e.g. show all content, show all tracked keywords, etc.
The other thing is that it checks your site weekly. For people with a larger site, this is cumbersome. A blogger needs to keep her finger on the pulse, and weekly updates can get stale within a day. I understand this is a bandwidth issue. It would be nice to even have a feature to see daily updates for tracked keywords.
Lastly, I asked this question to the developer, who gave a semi-salty answer. But to me, this is where the half-star should be deducted. SiteGuru needs to do some of its own calculations instead of just pulling information from Google. This is an important feature of every single major SEO tool like Ubersuggest, AHREFS, and Semrush. End users now expect to see how valuable each keyword is from an SEO tool: the volume of the keyword (the estimated number of searches per month for this particular keyword) and the KD/SD (keyword difficulty/search difficulty).
SiteGuru is in active development, and I now have received some newsletters with the changes. It's nice to see this tool being developed, and the developer listening to the users. I'm hoping for some great changes over the next year. I'm really looking forward to the "Internal Link Suggestions" feature, which is upcoming.

May 9, 2024Thanks for your review, this is very helpful. We'll definitely look into your suggestions.
One think to add: our audit runs weekly (and you can start a new one as often as you like), but the keyword data (for both tracked and other keywords) is updated every day:)
