Great software with promise. It looked like a great founding team (Waterloo + SF) so I bought the BF deal but now I am wondering how mature this is.. going to give feedback here, founders please save the feedback in your proper location instead of asking me to re-give the feedback in another place.
1. the video I wanted it to summarize/make into a short was over 10 minutes and taught how to do something, there were probably 5 or 6 critical steps. However the short provided had 2 highlights, leaving it pretty useless. I was hopeful this was a good ai tool but if it's not even able to identify the important parts of a video, then what will it really be good for, frankly? that's the main value prop... please prompt your ai to use the transcript to identify every single important aspect of the video and then let the user remove aspects which may not be important enough to keep. This is probably the only way it will work, not vice versa (deleting too much of the video as currently does, without catching important parts).
2. the first part of the tutorial in editing the short has a typo, it says something like "To text or highlight the below text.." what? the popup introducing the software makes it look buggy pls fix that typo.
I'm confident that despite these early use hiccups, the founders are mature enough to quickly learn from customer feedback and know that they basically hit the jackpot of early users here on appSumo, they will make the software the best ever by quickly prioritizing easy fixes like the two I have provided above, and will win over their users accordingly.

I’m a big fan of AppSumo, and as my needs are fairly simple, I’m not too concerned if future features require an upgrade. Having purchased Minvo, I’ve found that it offers all the features I need. However, the extremely slow export speeds are making it unworkable for my workflow. I’ll give it another couple of tries, but if there’s no improvement, I’ll have to request a refund and explore alternative solutions, which would be a real shame.

I purchased the Minvo AI software with certain expectations ( tier 2 ), but unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing.

Firstly, the software has been constantly giving incorrect outputs. Since I bought a version with limitations on uploading several minutes of video, these incorrect outputs have been a significant setback. For example, when dealing with Chinese content, the speed of the spoken words and the appearance of the Chinese subtitles doesn't match at all. The words are already spoken, but the subtitles pop up slowly, which is really frustrating. Moreover, it's far from being intelligent as it should be.

Another issue is that it only outputs traditional Chinese characters instead of the simplified ones that I need. This lack of flexibility in character output is quite inconvenient.

Furthermore, there is no online customer service available. I can't communicate with a real person to discuss these problems promptly and get them resolved. Whenever I encounter an issue, I'm left on my own with no way to seek immediate assistance.

Oh ya, 5 minutes video only AI edit option to 1 video 45seconds? You can do better than this, Minvo, at least make it 5 minutes video can suggest 3-4 short videos 30-60secs! You are just simply want us to finish the uploaded video duration? That is not cool.

Why should I use Minvo Ai to edit 5 mins video to 1 short video only? I can use capcut to do it, straightforward! and not expensive like Minvo AI, so just beware, if you want to purchase. Unless Minvo Ai do something with it, or else don't ever think to buy.

Finally, when I try to preview the video before the final output, the process is incredibly slow. It lags and stutters constantly, resulting in a very poor viewing experience. Overall, I'm highly dissatisfied with this product.

I used to upload a video of 60 seconds, which is 199 megabytes, but it takes 30 minutes to upload. This is really not good; I cannot imagine if I upload 1 GB. I also have troubles when I’m editing; it’s slow and buggy. About b-roll, animated subtitles are good. I use FlexClip, and I don’t have this trouble with speed on the website. If I use Minvo, it's like I'm ready to wait hours to make only one video. This is not good when you want to create a lot of videos. I cannot imagine needing to do 10 videos; I would need days to do it with Minvo. Please improve the speed.
