Q: Hey Shiv.
I've been looking for a solution like this for a while. I'm currently on Basecamp. Right now, Basecamp does everything I want except for recurring tasks and a better PM style layout.
Few questions/statements
1. Is the appsumo deal equivalent to the Pro or Business plan. I would suggest business plan to get more uptake.
2. I saw that guests can't DM? Is there an option to have this turned on? Right now, I love basecamp because my clients can directly DM me or my team when needed.
3. Limits for the team members seems low. Basecamp is "UNLIMITED" as I'm sure you are aware.
4. Do you have a mobile app?
Thanks!
Hey there!
I can help with these!
1. Our AppSumo deal gives you the features on our Business Plan!
2. Guests cannot DM in Nifty, but can contact the team through a Project Discussion or Task Comments.
3. Similar to Basecamp, Nifty does not limit your project count or Guests! While we do limit team members for our plans, but we feel Nifty's UX lends to painless scalability as your team size and project count grows.
4. We have mobile and desktop apps :)
Does this help?
You Bet!
Is it possible to put in a request for a feature if it makes sense for your platform?
DM from clients is a must for me. I'll probably try out your solution regardless.
Request noted! Also, as a workaround idea for you; you can Hide tasks from people on your team and Guests, but this Hide is overridden when a user is assigned to that task. So you could create a "Communication" task, Hide it from everyone, then add yourself and the client to that task. The task comments is now a hidden message stream for you and your client.
Not quite a DM as far as simplicity, but it solves the painpoint for now!

I agree on messaging for guests.
Important feature for me!

I'm going to speak out and say that I'm glad guests cannot DM, and I DO NOT want my clients DMing me. Working with clients I prefer to have them communicate via support email or messages, and DM is for the internal team who need immediate communications (especially for our remote team).
Why make things in life so complicated?
