Q: Embeds, chat/messages

I saw you write a couple of weeks ago about having embeds and links in the next week, but I just looked and cannot see any option to add embeds? I have certain google sheets and shareable URLs I would want in each clients portal. Do you plan to add embeds?

Also, as in basecamp, kitchen, userqueue etc, you have a chat module, or discussion module for each client. Do you have plans to have this?

Also, userqueue has a great feature, that means a client can only add a task to the 'not started' column, and cannot move the task: this is extremely useful./ Do you have this?

A: Hi!

Embeds
Live embeds (Google Sheets, Loom, Figma, etc.) are in internal testing and on the roadmap. For now you can paste a normal link.

Chat
Comments and @mentions keep things tidy and async. I’m experimenting with a light “Discussions” panel, but only if it stays distraction-free.

Board rules
You can already set WIP limits, lock status moves, or block client task creation. The idea of letting clients add tasks only to Not started is great—I’ve added it to the roadmap.

Anything else you’d like to see, just let me know.

Thanks for this. From a client point of view, I find the discussion/chat module is the most used by far, even though they can add tasks, or request something themselves, most go straight to the discussion one, as its usually a question based message first. Its also a great way for me to add updates, status updates, quick notes for clients, which are not part of an actual task, or warranting one

I agree. I think the compromise would be to have the option of threaded conversations, which creates less of an immediate expectation for a response and keeps things tidy.
