I don't see any value
I purchased this tool because people spoke about the great research capabilities. Any article writer is useless because I will only use the latest and best AI to do so I won't comment on this.
I gave it a shot with a common word and it had one recent article and everything else from 8-10 years ago. Then I tried something else which pulled up a few random articles which were more recent. I glanced at my credits and saw that I used up 40 credits already. So if I search a handful of times per day I end up spending 1200 credits in a month.
Then I entered the same search term in Google News and lo and behold, these are 100% the same articles as the amazing Oscr research engine. I am not kidding ONE HUNDRED PERCENT.
I rarely give 1 star but I feel deceived. They put 0 efforts into their research tool.

Edited Jan 26, 2025Thank you for your feedback and for giving Oscr AI a try. I’m truly sorry to hear that your experience with the research tool hasn’t met your expectations. Let me address your concerns directly:
1. Research Capabilities:
For more in-depth and targeted research, we recommend trying the Research Report workflow. This feature is designed to provide tailored insights that are more aligned with specific topics or questions.
Currently, our Discovery Workflow leverages available sources including Google, we are actively working on integrating additional data sources, like niche platforms and domain-specific content, to provide deeper and more diverse results. Note that when you choose "News" when searching, it'll filter down only to news (Google is the most powerful search engine so Google News is the best source of truth - let us know if you have additional sources you would like to use). In addition, the search term plays a significant role in influencing the results. Experimenting with varied terms can sometimes yield better, more relevant results.
2. Credit Usage: We understand your concerns about the credit system. Feedback like yours has highlighted areas for improvement, and we’re exploring ways to make credits stretch further. This is one of our top priorities, as we want Oscr to deliver clear value without making you worry about overconsumption of credits.
3. Your Trust Matters: We’re sorry theway you felt—that is absolutely not our intention. Oscr is still evolving, and user feedback like yours helps us focus on where we need to improve most.
If you're open to it, we’d love to learn more about your specific needs and what you’d like to see from the tools to ensure it delivers unique value for you. Please feel free to email us at angelina@oscr.tech and mehdi@oscr.tech. We’re committed to making this right and continually improving the tool to meet your expectations.
Thank you for giving us the chance to grow from your feedback.
