Q: Can I specify a file name for saving images?

Jun 1, 2025A: Great question! Currently, PeekShot does not support specifying a custom filename directly when generating the screenshot. The API returns a unique URL with an auto-generated name.
That said, once you download the image from the URL, you're free to rename and store it using any filename you prefer on your end.
We appreciate the suggestion — custom filenames is something we’re considering for a future update!

It is very useful to be able to freely customize the file name with the date and time of shooting, domain, and other strings of characters.
I'm sure there are times when we would like to provide an image to a client with that file name.
Many screenshot tools on the Mac allow us to do that.
