Q: Time for screenshot

Hi, It is essential to determine whether access to a specific timeframe exists prior to capturing a screenshot, including within the API.

A: Hi! Thanks for your question — I’d love to understand it a bit more so I can give you a clear answer.

Are you asking whether it’s possible to add a delay before the screenshot is captured (for example, to allow content to fully load), or is your question about something else like scheduling screenshots?

If you can share a bit about your use case, I’ll be happy to explain how PeekShot can help.

Thank you for adding the delay in the playground, but I just tested nine images and I am left with 46 credits less, so one image does not equal one credit ? Why ?

Hi @npizuenigtzrnlignergg — just to update you, the delay feature is now live in the Peekshot Playground!

You can use it to add a short wait time before the screenshot is captured, which is especially helpful for pages with animations, dynamic content, or slow-loading elements.

Feel free to try it out, and let us know if you have any questions or need help using it!

The most important question is, why does an image cost 5 credits?

The number of credits used per screenshot depends on your API parameters, as some options require more resources.

Standard screenshot: 1 credit

Retina (high-res): 2 credits

Full-page: 5 credits

Full-page + Retina: 10 credits

There’s no extra charge for accessing or downloading images.
