PhotoGPT largely succeeds in delivering truly impressive, professional-grade photos. The platform’s strength lies in its ability to produce images with a remarkable level of detail and authentic lighting. Not every photo is spot in and I have had some generations that didn't work out - but this is to be expected.
However, this overall good image quality is unfortunately let down by arbitrary restrictions on its otherwise attractive lifetime deals. Specifically the small selection of presets and the restrictions on resolution choices and image upscaling feel unnecessarily restrictive, especially given a credit system is already in place and also used for training the AI models (cost of 1500 credits per model).
A more user-centric approach would be to eliminate these hard caps. Instead, PhotoGPT AI could leverage its existing credit system by assigning a higher credit cost for certain features or presets. The gated access to these features is in my opinion unnecessary and lays the ground for keeping new content from existing lower-tier users.
For potential users: If top-tier image quality is paramount PhotoGPT AI is compelling. But I would urge the PhotoGPT AI team to transition advanced features to the credit-cost model.
As the restrictions are clearly communicated in the deals terms and the overall product quality is good I think I will keep my tier 1 purchase.

Thank you so much for the honest and well-articulated review — we truly appreciate you taking the time to share both your praise and constructive suggestions.
We're really glad to hear that the image quality delivered met your expectations — photorealism and lighting accuracy have been foundational goals for us, and it's incredibly rewarding to know that it stood out for you.
I've used many AI image generation services, but this one clearly stands out. The quality of the photos is phenomenal especially considering how early this platform is in its development. It's absolutely worth the investment.
That said, I do have a few suggestions for improvement:
1) A referral or rewards system to earn bonus credits would be a great incentive for users.
2) Introducing a flexible top-up or credit add-on plan could offer more convenience for occasional users.
3) Greater control during image generation — such as options for negative prompting, inpainting, or advanced customization — would enhance creative possibilities.
4) In the models section, it would be helpful to display small thumbnails alongside each model and preset. This visual aid would make it easier to understand how each model performs.
5) Currently, it's not possible to generate images from custom-trained models without selecting a preset. Allowing users to bypass preset selection and still use their trained models would add much-needed flexibility.
6) Additionally, having dedicated lighting and camera-style presets would greatly benefit creators. For example: Lighting styles: Dramatic, neon, vintage, studio, natural, silhouette Camera styles: Portrait, wide shot, close-up, low angle, aerial, worm’s-eye view
7) An image guidance feature to create consistent or similar images would also be valuable.
These tools could streamline the workflow and help users achieve desired results with less trial and error.
And finally, sharing a public roadmap would give users insight into what features are coming next and help build community trust. Overall, the service is outstanding, and I'm fully satisfied. I look forward to seeing what’s next—especially for Tier 1 users (Please don't abandon us :D)

Thank you so much for the thoughtful review — it truly means a lot to us, especially as we're still early in our journey!
We're thrilled to hear the platform stood out to you on photo quality — that’s been our north star from day one: uncompromising realism, especially for use cases where authenticity matters. It’s feedback like this that keeps us going, and suggestions like yours that help us...
Very good for believable headhots - privacy worries removed
Revised review: With the privacy concerns out of the way, i upgrade my review to 5 stars.
I can state that i am quite happy with what the tool has to offer. I fed it with a dozen random snapshots of myself that were mostly not so great and trained a private model with this sub-par material.
But even so: The resulting images I got were impressive. Not all of them, granted. But around 30% were extremely credible and looked like real headshots of myself. The others were not quite there yet, looked a bit like siblings but not exactly like me. But for me this is perfectly acceptable. I can easily create 10 versions of an image and will always find 3 or 4 that are suitable for my usage.
Prompts were followed very well. I live in Switzerland and asked the tool to create shots with a Swiss city scene in the background visible through a window. This worked very well and makes the shots feel local and believable.
I have a midjourney, and a chatgpt plus subscription and run some image models locally on my computer. None of these tools could produce images like this. This having been said, I do use midjourney sometimes for editing the results from this tool. I distinctively like the upscaling of this tool better than midjouney's. While midjourney delivers even better resolutions, the upscaled images often look artificial because skin and hair are just to perfect to be true. And i have never ever succeded in consistently getting believable headshots out of the other tools i use.
Cudos to the makers of this tool and thank you for you prompt reaction to my privacy concerns.
there is one limitation that i think should be removed from the deal: I I understand this right, tier 1 and 2 can only produce square images. In my oppinion, that is an unecessary restriction because it should not affect the resource cost. Since i bought level 3, this limitation does not apply to me but i think it would be kind to remove it from the lower tiers as well.

----------- For completeness sake: Here is my original review text.
I still have to see what the product can do. But I feel offended by your privacy policy. I will likely refund the tier 3 deal for this reason. I simply don't want to use paid software that uses my interaction for collecting behavioral data that is sold to or used by advertisers.
Sorry to start of the review section with this but this is severe for me.
