Skeptical at first to cool product, like it

Enjoyed this a lot.
As a brand product manager, I enjoy tools that help move the needle and make the process smoother. This product does the trick, and I liked the outcome. The one taco off was just quirky bugginess but it wasn't a show-stopper.

What I liked:
- Intuitive UI and easy to use.
- Organized, not cluttered output/information.
- Provides a PDF export download
- Edit capabilities to refine the persona further or customize it

Always room to improve
- The save was weird... I entered the persona information, and something strange happened at the very end. There was red text instructing me to go to the troubleshooting link (which didn't link to anything). I used the back arrow of my browser, and somehow, my persona information was already saved. Please clarify the troubleshooting notification.
- Clarify why they ask for B2B or B2C and do not have the option for both.
- Selective descriptors were quirky. I'd select one, and then it would duplicate or try to remove and add, but it would not update. Could you update this feature to please include custom input? I tried to input "sustainability-type," which is a HUGE persona type now, but you can't. That would be nice.
- Have glossary definitions for the persona types; they may seem glaringly obvious to some but not to others new to this. Glossary definitions are also helpful to ensure the nomenclature and understanding are the same.
- This may be a small detail, but the current site date at the bottom still reads 2023. Optically, people want to feel that the tool they just bought and are using is updated and current... Hopefully, they maintain updates on this tool, it's 2024 :-)

Great tool for marketing/agency types

An agency colleague was raving about this app and suggested I get the deal on app sumo. I create a lot of personas for various projects—I can already tell that it’s going to save me a ton of time. Main profile page is great, but what sold me are the tabs that dig in deep and provide ultra-tailored approaches to marketing /selling to my personas-- intel I can run with. Highly recommend--will be sending more of my contacts here and the Power Personas app. For those in the business: seems like a small price to pay for something I can mark up 25X and look like a hero to my clients.

Not for B2B targets

I could tell as I was answering the questions that I was not going to get useful persona information for my purposes because the business types don't match typical B2B companies I call on (manufacturing/distribution) and the job functions don't match B2B business functions (Finance, HR, Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Sales, Marketing, etc.). Also, the job functions that are listed are too low-level. While a minor issue, the profile images don't reflect the makeup of the United States (Caucasian, Hispanic, Asian, Black, Middle Eastern, etc.). I couldn't find an appropriate "Distinguishing Characteristic" that the system would accept (Corporate Climber is not in the database and therefore unacceptable, but Brad Pitt, Frodo Baggins are). The insights generated were too high-level and broad. I think this tool might be more useful for B2C-type business uses. So, I gave it 3 tacos because I think it has promise once the tool is developed enough to specify real-world business persona types and use AI to develop really insightful persona information (like KPI's, business outcomes, etc. that are most important to them). This is an immediate return for me. I wish Power Persona much success and I hope my review is helpful. Thank you for letting me take it for a spin.

Thanks for your candor and your well-wishes. FWIW do actually have a lot of B2B users. The challenge (from our perspective) has been to create a brand-based tool that serves B2C, D2C and B2B users. While we have incorporated some customization features to help users differentiate their personas even more, these don't go far enough for some B2B users.

Try CMO Copilot, our GTM platform for B2B...

Great Potential, but...

This is a great concept if you are just beginning research. However, if you already have a good idea about avatars/personas for your brand, then this does not offer much more insight.

I was hoping to get more insight into marketing strategies. While it did give some suggestions regarding product preferences, I still found it to be incomplete regarding the total lifestyle framework.

Specifically, it would be helpful to have a unique selling proposition for different parts of the behavioral lifecycle for different products per persona. In other words, use the same character, but create strategies for different product propositions. In addition, it would be great to reverse engineer the persona, that is, to discuss the product benefits and have a range of personas broken down into primary, secondary, and tertiary buyers. That is typically how marketing scientists think of their strategies when introducing new concepts to reshape existing consumer behavior.

Four tacos because of the creative deployment, low-cost investment, scientific approach, and simple interface.

I could get arrested for snatching this deal

Audience understanding is both an art & science.
There only a few tools available focusing on this specific area.
It's a high value skill that should precede everything in a business value chain.
First understand the audience and then comes the strategy.
PowerPersonas is definetly on the right track.
