Q: Ability to slip the start/end points beyond the clip
I've paid up and am using reap at the moment. Can you tell me a little bit about the improvements you're planning for the editor window? I'm finding that start (and particularly end) points of clips are not brilliant. It'll cut off half way through the word after the transcript end. Or it will pick up a sentence at a pause when the first word was missed and is needed. I'd be looking for the ability to slide the in and out points to adjust manually, even if that means starting a clip earlier than the point reap thinks it should begin and ending at a later point than reap gave me. As things stand at the moment, I can only make a reap clip shorter by starting later or finishing earlier within the clip it has selected. Perhaps include a 5 second buffer at either end of the reap render to allow this flexibility.

We have recently upgraded our pipeline with a fine-tuned AI model, and in our internal testing, the results have been optimal. However, there may still be occasional cases like the one you described. It would be very helpful if you could reach out to us via in-app chat support or email at hello@reap.video so we can look into your specific case and adjust our model and instructions to prevent this kind of result in the future. This is not the expected behavior, and the model should provide optimal clips.
Regarding manual adjustments, the current editor does allow you to extend the start and end points by adding segments from the video transcript before and after the selected clip. You can find a step-by-step guide here: https://guide.reap.video/en/articles/9727996-how-to-add-more-segments-to-the-clip-to-extend-the-clip
We are also working on further enhancing this experience, making it even easier to adjust the start and end points using a timeline in our upcoming editor update.
