Q: can you add ability to generate captions for an audio file ?
ideal if we could upload an audio file and reap generates captions for it,
we chose style and be able to download the captions with transparent background
could you add this feature ?
also when we are uploading a video file to add captions
please get reap to tell us when the file is uploaded, instead of the generating captions spinning all the time
we do not know if the file is uploaded or if it has uploaded and reap is now doing the captions
so we can turn computer off and come back , just so we know the file has uploaded.

We are actually working on audiogram feature which will do exactly what you described with bit of modification it won't be transparent background it will be some waveform or multiple types of waveforms to choose from. So yes this is in works, keep an eye out for this.
Will get this uploading state improved in a day to make sure you and all users get better feedback on when the upload is complete.
bhagsyPLUSFor long videos reap takes too long so subtitles from audio and on transparent background would be great. So can overlay in a desktop app as on PAYG big files take lots of data and lots of time upload download and a little mistake need to do it all again.
So subtitles from audio with transparent background would be so much better.

Great news thought — the time issue is almost solved. We’ve been working hard on optimizing our processing pipeline, and you’ll soon see a major improvement (in few days). The overall processing time will be reduced to just 1/3rd or even 1/4th of what it takes now.
