Q: Is there a reason why I cannot upload .mov (and only .mp4)

I'm testing out your system.
First... I uploaded two vertical videos but when I went into the caption editor, your system had converted them to squares. I have created a ticket for this.
But my question is this... Is it correct that I cannot upload a .mov file? Right now this adds to my workflow, as I have to go into Handbrake and convert the video to .mp4 before uploading it.
Is there a reason why I cannot upload a .mov file, and will you support this format (for upload) in the future?

Apr 7, 2025A: Hey Rasmus — thanks for testing Reap and for the thoughtful question. You’re right: at the moment, we only support .mp4 uploads. The main reason is stability — .mp4 files are more consistent across browsers and devices, and they help us keep processing smooth and fast.
However, we’re already working on adding support for .mov and a few other common formats. It’s on our roadmap and '.mov' should be available by tomorrow if all goes well or day after max.
