Q: Why So Few Clips and Take So Long?
Hi, I just saw a YouTube VDO comparing Opus VS Reap. In the demo the YouTuber uploaded a 23-minute VDO.
The Cons:
1. It took 16 minutes to create only 5 clips.
2. Yes, only 5 clips with the "30-60 seconds" selected.
The Pluses;
1. Great layout and UI. Easy to use, and much much more. ٩(^ᴗ^)۶
I don't want to put the link to the VDO here. Just go to YouTube and type: Reap Review and the VDO will be near the top.
Question: Can you please make a comment about the "Cons"?
1. How can we get more VDOs, more than 5, if our VDOs are over 20 minutes?
2. How can we speed things up? OR Are we at the mercy of your servers?
NOTE: I will most likely be buying this, but would like to hear what you think. Thank you.

Apr 15, 2025A: Thanks for the thoughtful feedback and great questions!
1. On the number of clips: reap’s AI currently prioritizes the *most engaging* moments based on pacing, speaker energy, and content hooks. That’s why it may only generate 5 clips from a 20+ minute video when using the 30–60 second setting. We’re working on to allowing more clips, so you can generate more segments, even if they’re less punchy. Stay tuned—it’s coming soon hopefully by this weekend!
2. On speed: Processing time depends on both video complexity (resolution, bitrate etc.) and current server load. That said, we have already parallelized pipelines for you -- its in testing will go out in a day or two, we’re actively optimizing our AI pipelines too, and rolling out faster queues this week. You’ll start to see shorter wait times very soon.
Appreciate you considering reap—we’re building fast and your feedback helps us prioritize what matters most. 🙏
