Didn’t Meet Expectations
After a few weeks of testing Reoon’s Yellow Pages scraper, the app initially seemed promising, but the experience fell short in a few frustrating ways.
- One of the biggest letdowns was the high number of duplicate entries. It wasn’t just a few here and there—there were so many that it took a lot of time to clean up the data, defeating the whole purpose of a time-saving tool.
- The scraper repeatedly stopped after completing just one city in the list, even though I’d queued up several. No matter what I tried, Reoon only handled the first city and then just... stopped. This is a big dealbreaker if you’re looking to gather data across multiple locations.
- I tried switching proxies, thinking maybe that would help with the single-city issue, but Reoon still didn’t move on to the next city. I used different proxy providers, but I had no luck. It’s frustrating when a tool doesn’t handle something as basic as city-to-city scraping.
- The biggest letdown was their customer support. I reached out multiple times, but the responses were slow, and they didn’t offer any real solutions. After waiting and troubleshooting without success, I just gave up on getting a fix.
Between the duplicate data, city restrictions, and lack of helpful support, Reoon’s YP scraper didn’t deliver. It’s tough to rely on a tool that’s supposed to make things easier when it keeps hitting snags and no one’s there to help.
