For us, attracting candidates isn't the issue. The problem we're facing is that out of 400 applications received per position on average, only 3 or 4 meet the criteria mentioned in our job postings. We're therefore wasting considerable time.
Would it be possible (potentially through paid custom development) that during the role.so process, we could ask candidates a series of questions, and role.so would only forward us applications from candidates who responded favorably to the questions asked?
Would it be possible to trigger an automatic email from us to other candidates (those who don't meet all our criteria) x days after their application?
Would it be possible to store applications in a spreadsheet showing each candidate's name and contact information, their answers to our questions, their application date, and their resume?
Thank you for reaching out with your thoughts and feedback, really appreciate it!
Definitely scope for this! It's actually on the roadmap to add a screening feature. It's one of the things I think will round up nicely the core offering. Furthermore I'm also considering adding de-identification and possible even a ranking system based on custom/preset rules, to make recruiters' life...
A: Hey! Webhooks is the next feature I'll be tackling, alongside other integrations. Currently there are no plans to expose API endpoints, however if there is enough demand for this, I'll definitely consider it.
Thanks @liam822 and @priceshay for your feedback. I will look into it and see how best I can fit this into the product roadmap.
Q: Form Fields
I would like to add various fields to the form (such as checkboxes, radio buttons, CV upload and other documents, dropdown list, etc.). Is this included in your future planning? Thanks
Some of these are already available in a form or another: https://role.so/help/forms-editor
However an even more extendable version is planned and it's currently the roadmap: https://role.so/roadmap
That being said I've just launched the Forms Editor last month. This effectively represents the first step in a longer vision of introducing and expanding the form customisation options,...
Id love to know about your vision for your company, team and product for the next 12 months...
Is there a grand strategy? Will there be any major themes for your roadmap? Do you have plan for MRR? Any goals & milestones youre aiming for specifically?
I'm always excited to share the roadmap and vision. Here's a rough, high level breakdown:
1. Short to mid term goals
Deliver a few more sizeable features such as the careers page, webhooks and other 3rd party integrations. Furthermore I'm looking to add a few QoL changes and features that were suggested by the current user base, things like custom form fields, re-ordering sections etc....
Ive been waiting for something like this. I actually want to use it for a landing page generator, with advanced query parameters. And you have the foundations all looking great!
Is it possible in the future to have more flexibility with the query params/short codes? I'd love to be able to make my own, maybe up to 5 or 6. <name> <company> <pain_point> <random_thing1> <random_thing_2> ?
Also, what do you think about having a query param/short code for an image embed on the page, for example ?www.imagehost.com/image123& ? Id love to share a personalised qr code or logo.
I know im might be playing away from the primary use-case, but it looks like you're already half way there!
It's definitely possible to add more query params down the line. I'd have to see how this would fit into the bigger picture of the platform, but since the bases are there it shouldn't be anything too big to implement.
I quite like this suggestion, let me take it away and think a bit on how and where it would fit best.

Q: APIs and Webhooks
Look for APIs to add job posts and Webhooks to collect responses. Is this available?

API end point(s) to create candidate pack based on template (or not) would be huge, yes!
+1 - I would love a public API as well
Thanks @liam822 and @priceshay for your feedback. I will look into it and see how best I can fit this into the product roadmap.

Nice! This sounds like a very exciting year ahead, I will be happy to be amongst your early supporters, thanks!
Thank you, much appreciated!

This looks lie an absolute banger!
