Q: GDPR and AI Credit question
Hi Tim! Thank you for coming to Appsumo! SCM looks very exciting!
Especially that you thought about integrating LM Studio is amazing.
I have read that the data we use the App for is also hosted in the US. Is it possible to have a local saving only option too? When we install the App are our searches also backed up in the cloud? Or can we disable that to be more GDPR compliant?
And in regards to the AI credits: Are they also used up for other tasks in the App or simply for the OpenAI mini model, when we do not use LM studio or our own API keys?
sorry I did not find a FAQ how the AI credits are counted and used. Maybe you have a link for that?
Thanks again and I am excited to try SCM soon!

May 6, 2025A: No data is being hosted in the US. Can you tell me where you saw that? The only data stored is your email so you can login to the program.
All the operations you perform on SCM are local and nothing is being stored on our servers and nothing is being saved or synced on the cloud.
AI credits used only if you select the scm option in the AI services.

If you use LM studio, scm doesn't use AI credits.
1 token ~= 1 credit, counted both for prompt and response.
