Q: Crazy Slow Uploads

Rishi I just uploaded my first 1GB zipped folder of photographs and it took 55 minutes to transfer. I took screenshots of the transfer rates on Sinosend (112kb/sec) and of my upload speeds (Download 287 Mbps and Upload 118 Mbps) and I'm super worried as "I liked what it said on the Sinosend Box" BUT what is really inside the box seams to be different!

A: Thanks for reaching out and sharing your experience – 55 minutes for a 1GB file is definitely not what we're aiming for, and we completely get why you're worried.

You hit on a key point: our main server is currently in Hong Kong. While this means super-fast speeds for folks closer to Asia (think 30MB/s+!), users further away, especially for uploads, can sometimes experience slower rates due to distance and network routing.

The good news is we're actively working on this! We're rolling out new servers in Europe and the US this year to drastically improve upload speeds for those regions. For downloads, our global CDN already ensures much faster delivery once a file is up.

We really appreciate you giving us a shot, and we're committed to making Sinosend even faster for everyone. We appreciate your patience as we expand our global footprint!

If it continues to be slow for you, and cant wait for the new servers, maybe refund now and join us back later? We will be around.
