Q: Impact on Page Speed
I checked your SiteBehaviour site using GTmetrix to try to determine the impact of your code on page load speed. GTmetrix gave the site a B grade with an 88% on performance. Will your code slow down my site?

Thank you for your question!
The Sitebehaviour tracking script doesn’t impact LCP or SEO. It’s designed to be very lightweight, runs asynchronously, and only loads after your entire website has finished loading.
I also checked our website’s score on GTMetrix ( https://www.sitebehaviour.com ), and it’s performing well with an A and 95% performance. But I think that the GTMetrix scores can vary due to factors like server location, caching, and network conditions at the time of testing.
I hope this helps and please feel free to reach out if you have any more questions.
Best,
Kiran

Looks like the sites just not performance optimized. They say the base script payload is 10kb, so that not too heavy.
I agree. GTmetrix says the top issues are that the LCP on the homepage was lazy loaded and the site fails to use explicit width and height on the 27 image elements found. I was hoping for a response from SiteBehaviour though.
Hi,
Yes, our tracking script is lightweight and won't impact your website's load time. It runs asynchronously, loading only after your website has fully loaded, ensuring no effect on performance.
Best,
Kiran

It seems that the script is light but it's impacting negatively, check this :

these in particular, are impacting on the speed :

Can you run some tests and come back to us? I'm super interested but performance is key
Hi @Digitalfastmind and sherplandp I don't see the point of performing a speed test on the siteBehavior commercial site. If you want to see the impact of their tracker, you should run it on your own site and perform several runs of the test :
With there tracker
Without there tracker
With there tracker
(A-B-A test and several run is mandatory here to make sure no external factor is impacting result

@user060 well, their site could not be optimized, but if you check the scripts loading and the impact on the loading time they do have an impact. Running on their site is a valid test, in theory, as it's on a commercial site. I've focused only on the scripts, not on other non-optimzied factors. I'll give it a shot to test as you suggested if i have more time, but it'll be nice to have them too
