The $3.99/month fee only applies to active phone numbers used for Text, Voice, and Fax. This is not a feature charge — it’s a direct response to new FCC compliance requirements (47 CFR § 64.6305(a)), which now legally obligate us to implement human-led verification, fraud prevention, and 24-hour traceback support.

We didn’t take this decision lightly. In fact, we tried to avoid this entirely by using automation, but federal regulators now require a level of oversight that automation alone can’t meet.
