When I saw Subscribr pop onto AS, I decided to give it a try. (I'm really, really trying to stop purchasing tools, unless it looks like it can definitely help me speed up something in the work I want to do. Which brings me to YT scripts. I have a Maekersuite account, and that has a really active team behind, and they keep updating, it just hasn't produced what I wanted. The scripts look and feel too much like AI trash. So I gave Subscribr a test yesterday, and there's a lot to like about it. First, the workflow is pretty straightforward. I didn't play with the ideation chat, just jumped straight to script creator, which is what I want from this tool. Give it a topic, some parameters (format and target length). It pulls your audience details from your channel (but you can edit). Then it gets to work in a really nice workflow. Research - add links, documents, text for context. Then a frame (PAS, BAB, Hero Journey, etc). Then title, then thumbnail, hook, payoff. You can edit these components along the way. Finally, it cranked out a script that was mostly usable. Still has your classic AI filler garbage ("this is game-changing for your business!"), but a really solid first draft. I went through the script, edited so it feels more natural (it was mostly cleaning up AI filler and repeated chunks of text that didn't need to be there), and I had a good script ready to go. Pasted into a teleprompter app and recorded. (I don't have the link to the video up yet, still editing to add some B-roll). This does what I wish (and expected) Maekersuite to do. Some things I'd love to see would be to create brand voices, as well as maybe some competitor analysis (so you can create videos based on competitor top performing, or a knowledge gap). Otherwise, great tool after an initial run. This will definitely help speed up my YT workflow. I hope the core of this - the scriptwriting - remains the focus and continues to be improved.
