Before purchasing Support Board I researched many other options. My main concern was, I wanted a conversational chatbot that I didn't need to spend time creating conversation flows. I didn't want to have to imagine these possible interactions with a chat visitor and go down this rabbit hole of, "If they say this, then reply that, unless they say this, then reply that instead, etc., etc." I just don't have time for all of that.
My other concern was I wanted the ability of the chatbot to seamlessly pass the conversation off to a live agent if it couldn't answer a question, or if the visitor specifically asked to speak with a human. And if/when this happened I wanted the live chat interface to be easy to use and mobile accessible with push notifications.
I had a hard time finding a solution that checked all the boxes for me until I discovered Support Board. What I love is its ability to train the chatbot on whatever content or website using OpenAI and/or Google Dialogflow. Once I did this, it was like magic! The AI Chatbot instantly becomes an expert member of your team, answering any questions the visitor asks relevant to your business. And Support Board handles the flow from AI to Live Chat agents like a champ. You can even review the AI portion of the chat to see if the AI had trouble answering any user questions and in a couple of clicks train the AI with the correct response for next time. Brilliant!
The live chat interface is well-designed and user-friendly, with some helpful built-in AI features like suggestions of what to respond to a chat user, or cleaning up your response with one click before sending it. If you are lazy and just type "hi", in one click the AI will turn that into a nice friendly greeting to send the chat user. You can also save a collection of predefined responses that are easily accessible.
I set this up for a client and I honestly only scratched the surface of what it's capable of. There are a ton of amazing features to truly customize Support Board to be exactly what you want it to be for your needs. Setting it up can be time-consuming at first because there are so many options, but anytime I needed help, I used their Support Board Chat widget on their site to get help and was always taken care of, either by the intelligent AI or by their live chat agent who was very helpful. Their documentation is also very extensive and you can find a lot of help there as well.
They say on the deal page that this is an alternative to Intercom, which is a bold claim, but I agree with that, so that is saying a lot about how powerful it is. Now that I have one set up and running for my client, I think I'll need to pick one up for myself. Support Board is definitely going to be my go-to solution for an AI/Live chat system.
