Q: TaskMagic vs. ActivePieces: Features, BYOK, and the Future of Automation
I’m interested in TaskMagic and currently using ActivePieces for automation. I’ve seen a lot of hype around Agents, are they already available, or are they still in development? If they’re live, what can they do right now? How do they compare to the old way of recording workflows? Can I use agents in both ActivePieces Apps workflows and for browser recording?
I also noticed BYOK for Agents - Say I want to scrape 10 pages of listings from Yellow Pages using Agents, how much would the API cost? Does TaskMagic use Claude AI OCR, which is crazy expensive or OpenAI? what’s the estimated pricing? How does it handle rate limits and CAPTCHAs?
Since TaskMagic uses ActivePieces, do you keep up with all their updates and new features? ActivePieces recently launched Tables, is that included in TaskMagic? If so, what are the limits on using Tables?

Mar 25, 2025A: Hey Lina!! We are publishing it today-ish. It’ll be today no later than tomorrow and you’ll have agents using taskmagic just make sure you’re on tier 4 5 or 6. We pull everything we can from active pieces. Some features they’ve known to push and we pull but then they just deprecate it later and we’re stuck. We pull all necessary things though. And yeah you can BYOK with whichever ai platform you want ;) you gotta give it a try. And AppSumo honors the refund so give it a whirl. Hope to see you in

When using AI Agents to scrape, what’s the average API cost I can expect for scraping 10 pages of listings from Yellow Pages using Agents? I understand I could buy and test it myself, but before I spend $1,229 of my hard-earned cash, I’d really like to have a clear idea of the potential API cost
Also, I’ve started using Tables in ActivePieces, and I really love the flexibility of not having to rely on Google Sheets or Airtable to store my data. It’s been a game-changer for keeping everything in one place. Will Tables be added to TaskMagic?
