Q: Why does it still show availability during times when I have meetings scheduled when I have added my Google ...

calendar integration and ensured all the calendars are enabled? This is a huge issue. It makes the software unusable.

A: Hey, angelthecoach!

As mentioned in the community guidelines (https://appsumo.com/community-guidelines/), any bug reports should go directly to the partner — in this case our team at TidyCal.

If you have a calendar integrated, it should automatically pick up on "busy" events and make sure those are *not* available in your calendar. My guess here is: A) Those events aren't marked as busy in your integrated calendar, and thus TidyCal accordingly and appropriately is not blocking them off, or; B) You haven't marked the calendars "reading enabled" so they're not being read in general inside your TidyCal integrated settings.

If it's not either of those, my suggestion is to email our Support team at support@tidycal.com to see if we can help you. 90%+ of the time it's one of those two simple mistakes, or in a rare case sometimes the integration needs to be disconnected/re-added. But we have 100,000+ users at this point and that happens less than 1% of the time.

Hope tha thelps!

I am having the same issue. Mine is reading-enabled. Typing the word 'busy' in front of appointments makes no difference. I have followed all of the advice from TidyCal regarding syncing and reconnecting, to the letter, and now they are not replying to my emails. The fault must be with TidyCal because appointments appear correctly in my own calendar.

Hi Luise,

I just read your comment and noticed that you mentioned "typing the word 'busy'." Perhaps this is where the misunderstanding lies. You don’t need to type the word. "Busy" is a setting in Google Calendar. If you double-click on any specific event, you should see this option on the left side, near the "visibility" setting. There are only two options for the event: either "free" or "busy".

Hi, I have just checked the setting on an appointment in my Google calendar that Tidycal is not reading and it is set to 'busy'. It looks as though all my appointments are automatically set as 'busy'. Please can you advise what to do next, or can Tidycal please investigate this. The fault does not appear to be with my Google calendar or my Tidycal settings.
