A Unique, Powerful, and Fun Tool
As a programming geek, I experiment with every API that walks my way. I have more and more that it is easy to find a nice database system with robust REST APIs, but to truly customize how they work I usually needed to run them through an intermediary like Zapier for corrections, formatting or validations.
Twidget is a different animal that provides custom options and steps to refine, enhance, and validate incoming and outgoing data.
and yes, I can't stop playing with the new toy in my toy box...oops, I mean tool in my toolbox
Pros:
- includes a pre-built authentication system, a rather rare feature
- extensive list of commands that can be executed on incoming requests, a small subset of my favorites include generating emails, manipulating text and data, error detection and handling, encoding and hashing of data, making other api calls, sending emails, manipulating files , the list just goes on...
- in addition to defining the payload of the request, there options for designing headers, and URL variables to add an extra layer to the request
- as a result of the above, you can create many API entries that can take the same call and use it in different ways
- fast communication with support
- if this is what it looks like now as a newer product, I can only dream about what else is going to be added in
Cons:
- only one really... because there is so much going on here, their documentation needs more information and detail; there are helpful videos, but when I am working fast I don't feel like watching one
